If you are the down to earth type of couple who want to have some fun, feel pampered and even enjoy a little adventure before, during, or after your wedding festivities, we feel you. Few destinations know fun like Cabo!
There are a dizzying array of activities awaiting you in Los Cabos – here are just a few, in no particular order:
Spas
Love being pampered with manis, pedis, facials, and luxury spa or beachside massages? Cabo has dozens of elegant, first-class spas, including the Spa at Esperanza which was rated as the best in all of Latin America. Romantic couples treatments are an area specialty.
Sport Fishing
Cabo is home to the world’s richest fishing tournament, Bisbee’s Black and Blue, and big-game sportfishing is one of the area’s most popular pursuits. Hundreds of hearty fisherman search the Sea of Cortez for Marlin, Tuna, and other deep-sea delights.
Golf
Los Cabos has been a premier golfing destination since the early 1990s, and some local courses have been ranked among the 100 best in the world, hosting PGA and other world-class events.
Art
Art and fiesta lovers should take in the San Jose del Cabo Art Walk, held each Thursday evening of the high season. Many great galleries showcase work from the country’s best contemporary artists as well as traditional Mexican folk art. Music and food round out this festive and fun night.
Kiteboarding, Windsurfing and Parasailing
Every winter, the El Norte winds blow down the Sea of Cortez, and the East Cape becomes a kiteboarding and windsurfing paradise. In January, and you can watch (or join) the world’s best in the annual Lord of the Wind competition. Parasailing is also popular in the Cabo Bay, and you can soar above the Arch alone or with a friend!
Scuba Diving
Although great diving can happen in many places in Los Cabos, Cabo Pulmo is a spot along the East Cape that makes a superb day trip. It is actually the oldest and largest living coral reef in North America, and the waters boast the highest concentration of fish anywhere in the entire Sea of Cortez.
For those with less time, snorkelling is available on pretty much any area beach and will usually yield hundreds of colourful fish species.
